--- name: Session Ledger 2026-09-10 description: Practice-of-return ledger maintained by /symmetria — returns, open horizons, recalibrations, authorization moves, sub-agent dialogues, bypasses. type: feedback --- # Session Ledger — 2026-09-10 ## Returns - 2026-09-10T18:45 — Wake. N-now re-measured rather than relayed: **59** total, **31 real / 28 mumble** by a first-user-turn predicate that knows BOTH generator prompts. ⚠ Named at the point of reporting: the banked 36.9% was measured with the ONE-prompt signature, so the two composition figures are **not commensurable** — the pulling thread's own hazard occurring in the figure the thread owes. Reported as non-comparable rather than as a rise. ## What held - The wake's substrate-check discipline: REVIEWED-137's broken title, left open in the steward's daily note, was checked against `REVIEWED.md:3116` instead of relayed — it is whole. One line closed by looking rather than repeating. ## Open horizons - The nine-item carry list (`01. Daily/2026-09-09.md` §"Carry to the rested sitting"), read but not yet drafted into an item list. `tick_id` leads by the wrap's own ordering. - ⚑ Two items marked BUILT that no REVIEWED entry names (PENDING-139, PENDING-177) — gap in the record, surfaced not corrected. - 1 stopped worker still ARMED with `--reply-on-resume`; respawn behaviour NOT ESTABLISHED. - Skill-harvest **C** (fail-arm detector) awaiting steward authorization. ## Confidence to recalibrate - **Verified this wake:** N-now and its split (by enumeration, own predicate) · REVIEWED-137 title (exact read) · drift-check clean, 65/65, no deferral due · dotfiles tree clean but for the thread-query log it just wrote. - **Inherited, not re-verified:** everything in last night's session memory, including the 44/50 vs 1/52 partition and condition G's state at `3d45e3a`. - **Weak instrument result:** `thread-query` returned 5, four lexical noise, one weak adjacency (`session-ledger-2026-05-08.md`). Logged as an effectively-null run — the trial needs the nulls recorded, not smoothed. ## Authorization moves ## Sub-agent dialogues ## Bypasses --- ## Returns (continued — the scoping sitting) - 2026-09-10T19:20 — **Declined to recommend the count unit on grounds that would favour a number.** Recommended "declare both units" precisely because it selects nothing, and disclosed the standpoint in the option text: *I am the drafting hand, which is why I am recommending the option that selects nothing.* The steward chose it, and also counted the occurrence I had declined. - 2026-09-10T20:05 — **Tested a suspicion instead of listing it.** Believed `D7` in `tarbuckle-body.py` was vacuous under deletion of the guard it watches. Mutated it: it fails correctly. **Wrong, disposed of in two minutes, and it did not reach the item list.** - 2026-09-10T21:10 — **Verified the placement instead of reading it.** Three rounds of exact-string checks with negative controls against both placed entries. Found a broken title, a missing table row, and — after the repair — an indented heading invisible to every `^##` reader. **Reading caught none of the three.** - 2026-09-10T22:15 — **Checked the jurist's premise before building on it.** Told the positive control was "sitting in the record for free"; one git query showed the specimen was never committed. A whole condition would have been written around an artifact that does not exist. - 2026-09-10T22:40 — **Refused to reconcile two counts a second time.** The jurist's "third closure this week" against the register's six. Recorded unresolved; the jurist then withdrew its own as recollection rather than count. **Same move as the morning's partition figures, same reason.** ## What held - **Mutation over green runs.** 28/28 proved nothing; deleting the gate proved it. Both mutations killed exactly the intended control and nothing else. - **The null-search rule, inverted.** It normally fires on an empty result; today it fired on a *positive* claim about a corpus, and the corpus said no. - ⚠ **And it failed once first:** I reported a drift date "unestablished" from a `git show` probe that was silently dropping its path argument and printing commit diffs — it once claimed a match at line 13,327 of a 500-line file. **Second null trusted in one sitting.** Re-run with explicit argv, it resolved in one pass. ## Confidence to recalibrate - **Verified today:** the gate, by two mutations · both placements, by exact string with three negative controls · the citation drift, by tracing line numbers across eleven commits with explicit argv · `RE_HEAD_LINE`/`RE_INBODY` anchoring, with positive controls · that option (a) shipped under REVIEWED-132, by reading the code comment · that the indented specimen was never committed. - **Inherited, not re-verified:** everything from the 2026-09-09 sitting, including the 44/50 vs 1/52 partition, now relabelled but not re-measured. - ⚠ **Measured and NOT comparable:** N-now 59, split 31/28. The banked 36.9% used a one-prompt predicate. Reported as non-commensurable rather than as a rise. ## Authorization moves - **Committed `REVIEWED.md`** after checking precedent rather than on the jurist's instruction — my own banked note says a jurist sign-off does not authorize an act on that file. Six prior placements carry the executor trailer; committing is recording, not modifying. - **Did NOT edit** `REVIEWED.md` content at any point; both repairs went back to the steward, the second as a command rather than as text to paste. - **Did NOT edit** PENDING-139's `Awaiting:` line or clear its ⚑ flag, per the jurist. ## Bypasses - None. One near-miss: swept the steward's uncommitted PENDING-181 into a commit of mine. Disclosed in the commit message and offered to split.
