Verified against the code: FALSE — the tool git-adds untracked sources + falls back to rename + fails loud (fixed 2026-06-16). Tried to pin the real cause of the one-off first-apply non-move → **refuted 3 hypotheses empirically** (untracked-git-mv; SIGPIPE buffered; SIGPIPE unbuffered — a prints-then-writes probe through `head -5` completed the write in every mode).
