Same family as causal-story/read-render-favorably: wanting the artifact good, I read the render to confirm rather than to test against the spec.   • Status remnants: multilingual v0.5→v1.0 (charter ×5 + registry); content-typology AUTHORED→OPERATIVE leftover; §VII pointer list completed; CLAUDE.md essay-versioning DRAFT→OPERATIVE + vignette build-time note.

• Final Codex PDF 18cc59c embodies its own spec (the container obeys the contained): ragged-right (§I.i), banish-bold→italic + non-bold Medium/Regular headings (§I.d), old-style figures (§I.b), blockquote boundary-marks dropped (§I.h), body-colour italic margin notes (§VII.e), roman, British, reconciled. sha256 c78817d…313c — the bytes to sign (supersedes all earlier shas). Built via build-only lualatex pipeline (preamble + faithful.lua filter); microtype disabled (conflicts with newunicodechar).
• DISCOVERED: tools/latex/arc-typography.sty (v0.2, 2026-05-14) is the GOVERNED PDF/print substrate — already encodes oldstyle figures, banish-bold, no-numbering, blockquote-indent, apparatus, cream paper (#F5F0E8) + Plex Mono apparatus register.
