record(session): 2026-09-12 ledger, and the thread-query trial's logged run

Nine returns and four authorization moves, including the refusal of a constitutional
edit on a jurist instruction and the phantom referent no party holds.

The thread-query line is the pre-registered trial's own record (grade 2026-10-05); today
returned five hits, none bearing on the thread. A null is a result the trial needs.

## Returns
- 2026-09-12T wake — **An instrument returned empty and was one sentence from being reported as an absence.** `ls -lt session-ledger-*.md` printed nothing; `ls` is `eza` in this shell. Re-listed with an explicit lister: **119 ledgers**, the most recent from last night. This is the exact class banked yesterday (*an instrument failed in the shell and its output read as data*) firing inside the wake that reports it, and the banked rule that caught it is *a null search is evidence about the QUERY*.
- 2026-09-12T wake — **Did not report a bare N-now.** MEMORY.md instructs re-measurement by "the trial's own method at `governance-drift-check.py:513`" — that line is `trigger_fired`'s body, and the transcripts branch (`:546`) is a **bare glob** which cannot yield a composition at all. Measured both populations and both predicates instead, with a negative control (`human_turns>=1e6` → real=0). Reported the predicate with the composition, per the standing rule.
