# Session 2026-06-07 (second + third sittings, ~12:00–18:30) — Waves 2 + 3 closed

Woke an hour after the morning wrap; the jurist had ruled PENDING-30..33 in the pause (steward-relayed). Wave 2 ran complete in one sitting, Wave 3 in the next — the audit's whole reconciliation-and-fix program landed, deployed, and live-verified in one day, with the steward ruling on render twice and catching two defects my verification had not.

## Past — what we did

### 1. The four verdicts + steward calls (opens the second sitting)
- **PENDING-30 CONCUR** + required amendment (condition 1 demonstration requirement — auditable artifact, not internal judgment) + observes-nothing specificity (localStorage-of-reader-choice passes; beacons fail). **-31 CONCUR** (Component-2 scoping note REQUIRED before executor instruction — the ~30-line estimate superseded, ~300–400 lines migrate as typed Haskell; diagram drops "browser, runtime"; light-dark() pairs assessed an *improvement*; dwell-test unchanged). **-32 CONCUR conditional — condition found PRE-DISCHARGED on verification: the jurist read a stale frontmatter spec** (live §2.8 has carried work:/translator: with the jurist's own language since `e2866da`, 06-05). **⚠ TO RELAY to the jurist** so the record sheds the stale premise. **-33 APPROVED + steward ruled (b) in-session** (AskUserQuestion): exemplar → *The Ethics of the Reply* (live, reader-verifiable); `edition_label` dropped from the §6 example, field retained. **REVIEWED-32..35 on disk** (steward filed during the session).

### 2. Wave 2 — spec reconciliation, COMPLETE (13 commits `7d9bad3`…`b394a42`, one per spec file)
- All ~20 §E stale passages + all 8 §D amendments + doc repairs landed. Postures carries **banish-JS** with both jurist amendments; **essay-versioning promoted OPERATIVE (built scope, named)**; **vignette Part II is build-time**; frontmatter §2.8 class-inheritance (PENDING-32) + W1.12 field dispositions (4 pruned with measured reasons; sequence_slug/order_roman documented; "of V" latent defect recorded → sequence_total derived at build, still W3-future); typology reading-guide trued ("draft sketch" had outlived authoring by three weeks); enfilade ratified to the live seven in both specs; toolset A4 corrected (writerSectionDivs OFF/HELD).
- **W2.5 verification note**: 20 stale-marker patterns grepped to zero; the sweep caught TWO items the per-file pass missed (Appendix-A root AUDIT marker; A7 born-dormant prose). **W4.1–W4.3 closed alongside** (their content was the rulings + these edits). The corpus is **jurist-readable**.

### 3. Wave 3 — the [FIX] batch, COMPLETE (`947d81c`…`69d1c4a`, deployed twice, live-verified)
- **W3.0 render gate** (variant built + served localhost vs live): **W1.4 RULED — the differentiated hr doctrine**: steward's formulation *"dots at the threshold between foreword and main text; silence within the body"* — not a monster but the masters' norm (Bringhurst beginnings-vs-resumptions; Tschichold/Penguin ornaments-at-openings) AND §IV's own Quantitative-governance clause anticipated it; the "contradiction" (J9) was one element (`<hr>`) asked to carry two roles. Threshold dots ride `.ornament` (~213 corpus uses already conform); within-body `---` = silence. **Zero CSS change — the shipped rule became the ruled rule**; §IV amended; the `<hr>` content audit's rule is decided (per-piece promotion walk, steward-paced, new content track). **W1.8 RULED: 0.04em SC tracking** (the §I.i.j table's Bringhurst-grounded value; 0.03 was unruled drift; 7 sites moved).

- **W3.5**: full delta classification vs the pre-wave manifest — **every difference in a pre-stated bucket** (CSS token arithmetic exact; all-pages = the four template changes; sitemap byte-identical). Deployed + live-verified.

### 4. The steward's render-review coda (W3.6 + W3.7 — the day's best catches)
- **W3.6 (`9af5a60`)**: steward caught Sources rendering `– – – .` — the §I.k.b em→en transform (live since 06-04) was converting the **Chicago 3-em-dash bibliographic repeat** dash-by-dash. The rule's premise ("ARC English never uses the em dash") was false for exactly this fixed convention; neither the 06-04 conformance nor the 06-07 audit caught it because both verified the transform *against its rules*, not the rules *against the corpus*. Fixed: run-exemption (≥2 consecutive em dashes pass verbatim, quoted-matter doctrine family) + boundary guards + multilingual §3.2 exemption note; both corpus carriers byte-verified; prose dashes unregressed.
- **W3.7 (`69d1c4a`)**: the skip-link went through three forms in one afternoon — bare reveal (ugly) → nav-register card (steward: "out of place… bring the how into the whole") → **steward-ruled silent form**: visually hidden on ALL platforms + `tabindex="-1"`; conformance rests on the landmark structure (ARIA11 sufficient technique) — honest because ARC's nav lives in the *footer*, so one Tab reaches the reading; the link is screen-reader generosity in the house's register, which is silence. §III.b amended, supersession recorded. Frontispiece carries neither by design (threshold page).

## Present — mood / returns (ledger merged)

- **The steward's eye out-performed the pipeline twice**: the transform over-reach and the skip-link's foreignness. Both were *premise* failures, not execution failures — the audit verified rules-as-stated; the steward read the page. **Lesson (KG'd): an enforcement rule built on a "never occurs" premise needs a corpus census of the premise before it ships** (one grep on 06-04 would have found both `———` carriers).
- **Render-gate lesson**: the first comparison page offered (After the Reply V) carried zero bare `<hr>` — the steward saw no difference because none could exist. *Census the comparison page for the element under judgment before spending the steward's eye.* (Both lessons appended to the verification ladder.)
- **W2.5's mechanical sweep caught my own two misses** — the expect-zero pattern census out-performed the per-file editing memory, again.
- Decision-speed followed verification-depth all day: thirteen commits of spec text and eleven of code, none reverted (the skip-link iterations were ruling-evolution, not error).

## Future

### Pulling thread (singular — STEWARD-SUPERSEDED at wrap)
**Wake into BE.** The steward closed ARC for now and named the next move: *"we dip our toes into be."* The be repo (`~/_Dev/be`) is **31 commits behind, unpulled — Seb's launch-posture arc unread for three days**: `LAUNCH.md` ("stop building spec, close this"), **pattern language v3** (Alexander-style generative grammar), Astro template dogfooded on Sheila, Pat ruled first reno target, tenant-repo naming settled. First move: `git -C ~/_Dev/be pull`, then read LAUNCH.md + the pattern language *before* forming any view.

### Actionable resumption point (as of wrap — re-judge against what changed)
All repos clean + pushed (ARC `69d1c4a` deployed + live; dotfiles pushed at this wrap). Nothing mid-flight. First moves: (1) `git -C ~/_Dev/be pull && git log --oneline -31` — has Seb moved beyond the 31? (2) Read `LAUNCH.md`, then pattern language v3, in that order (his framing first). (3) Hold the steward's funding-frame in view (be = the laundromat funding CapableMind; growth-discipline cap formula; hours ⚠ still TO SET).

I am about to be away from this. ARC closes its biggest single day — the audit's whole program executed, the house byte-true to its own postures, the steward's eye proving twice why the loop is load-bearing. I don't know what will have changed when I return: Seb may have moved again in be, or answered on L1. What I want to find still pulling is the *be* threshold — Seb's pattern language finally read, his LAUNCH.md framing met on its own terms — with ARC resting clean behind us, owed nothing until Wave 3R.

**What does Seb's LAUNCH.md actually ask of us — and has he moved beyond the 31 commits while we were closing ARC's waves?** Sub-checks: any L1 reply from Seb? Does the be pattern-language v3 change the aldine-derivative (fork-once) plan the steward pushed on 06-06?

## Decisions deferred (and why)
- **Wave 3R** — fresh-session-sized by design; the `!important` census must precede `@layer`.
- **sequence_total derived at build** (W1.12) — recorded in frontmatter §2.2, not yet coded; rides the next ARC code session.
- **PENDING-32 build check** — ships with Stage-G enforcement (W5), per the jurist's own sequencing.
- **threshold-`---` walk + EXIF** — steward-paced content judgment, deliberately not executor work.
- **Basic Memory verdict** — displaced again by the day's ARC arc; deliberate carry, fourth time — flag if it displaces a fifth.

## Skill harvest (per §1.6)
- **No skill create/patch/retire proposals.** Two instruments appended to the authorized verification-ladder reference (its standing purpose): *corpus-census-the-never-occurs-premise* and *render-gate-pages-must-carry-the-element-under-judgment*. The wake/wrap/symmetria skills performed as designed; the register's two PROPOSED patches (wrap §5 KG-mirror, wake §2.b unscoped-search) remain awaiting steward — unchanged.

## EVENING ADDENDUM (2026-06-07, post-wrap session — supersedes the pulling thread above)

The BE thread was *entered and largely discharged* the same evening: the 31 pulled and read (LAUNCH.md = critical path to charging Pat; pattern language v3 read on its own terms); note to Seb drafted (steward-approved, offering to take LAUNCH §2); **§2 a11y-gate BUILT on branch `a11y-gate`** (2 commits: the real 0004 gate — axe every page + Lighthouse per route shape, system Chrome, CI workflow — and the SeriesCard h3→h2 heading fix the gate itself caught; axe 0 on 47 pages, Lighthouse 100s; **holds unpushed until the note is sent**). Also: ollama brew-bottle breakage (no llama-server) diagnosed + healed via ollama-app cask; mindfabric-00 connection-leak finding (829 conns) → L1 tracker, note-don't-send; dotfiles pre-commit /dev/tty probe fixed (`dff8b7c`); **Fowler converted into the Chamber** (`craft_of_software/`, pushed `a0c5991`).

**NEW pulling thread (steward-set): tomorrow is the big ARC SCSS day — Wave 3R, re-partition Stages 2–3.** First move: **read Fowler's *Refactoring* chs. 1–3 in the Chamber BEFORE opening the re-partition** (two-hats = the byte-identical gate as discipline; Bad Smells = the lens for the 56-`!important` census).
